How and why we use cookies.

We use cookies sparingly. This page explains exactly which cookies are set and why.

Last updated: March 31, 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are used to remember preferences, maintain sessions, and gather analytics data.

2. How Phixo Uses Cookies

The Phixo Chrome extension itself does not use cookies. Extension data is stored locally using Chrome’s built-in extension storage API, not browser cookies.

The Phixo website (phixo.io) uses a minimal set of cookies:

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for the website and account portal to function. They cannot be disabled.

Functional Cookies

These cookies remember your preferences to improve your experience.

Analytics Cookies

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors use our website. We do not use Google Analytics. Our analytics do not track individuals across sites and do not use advertising identifiers.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Our payment processor Stripe may set cookies when you visit the billing portal. These are subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

We do not use any advertising, retargeting, or social media tracking cookies.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent account portal features from working. The Phixo extension will continue to function normally regardless of cookie settings.
